If you enjoy visiting the greenhouse and gardens and like what we do, consider becoming more involved – through volunteering, becoming a Friend of the Gardens, or even serving on our Advisory Council. The Gardens were born through the involvement of plant lovers in the Charlotte community and will remain a vital resource and botanical haven through the continued and renewing involvement of folks like you. We would love to have you join us!
- Membership - Become a “Friend of the Gardens”
- Volunteering - Lend a hand in the Gardens or help us welcome visitors on Sundays.
- Advisory Council
The Advisory Council of the UNC Charlotte Botanical Gardens was established in January of 2007 to advise the Director on how best to carry out the Mission of the Botanical Gardens. The Council meets 2-3 times a year and includes members of the greater Charlotte community with varying backgrounds and interests. If you would like to learn more about the Advisory Council, please contact the Director, Larry Mellichamp at 704-687-4055.
